Relax In An Inflatable Spa

The need for relaxation has never been greater due to the busy lives most people lead today. Stress is a common cause of illness so what better way to unwind than in your own spa.

Maybe it’s because we live in smaller homes and we can’t afford the room to accommodate the area a spa would require, or maybe we just like to travel and bring our luxury items with us. Whatever the reason, the brainwave of an inflatable spa was born. Due to advanced technology, as with everything, the design, durability and choice to the consumer improves year after year and as popularity grows, hopefully the prices will eventually start to come down.

Inflatable spas are available in just about every size which allows you to choose one for whatever number of people your heart desires. If you want the spa to merely hold up to two people, then a smaller size is fine however if you’re considering using the spa for larger events where between 2 and 9 people will need the space, they have inflatable spas just for that purpose, too.

Let’s say you own a summer home on a lake that you visit every weekend but you don’t keep the house open all year round? An inflatable spa could be an alternative to consider because it can be assembled early in the season, even if it’s still a little nippy in the mornings and evenings, and at the end of the season it can easily be deflated and stored away until the following year’s season begins. This is a huge benefit as during the off season you will not have the cost of continuously heating the water in the spa nor the regular maintenance recommended by the manufacturer, at least once a month.

The other great advantage is that these inflatable spas are made out of a very durable material that can withstand being placed right on the ground without the need of a platform or other construction.

One word of caution is that there is more likely to be a certain amount of wear and tear on an inflatable spa than there would be on a permanent model due to the process of putting it up and taking it down. The inflatable tubs that are designed today are almost all made from a military-endorsed material that is reinforced to last; just make sure that the spa you buy comes with a warranty. There are likely to be more things that can go wrong with an inflatable spa so it makes sense to be prepared rather than be caught without protection of your purchase and a damaged spa in your possession.

It is an incredible fact that there are such things as portable, inflatable spas that we are able to use today and no matter what your concern; whether it is about the space you have available for the spa or if you are thinking of bringing it with you when you travel, the inflatable, portable spa is a wonderful option to have!

The Advantages Of A Solar Heated Spa

Many people these days are worried about the cost of electricity if they were to get a spa. Resourceful inventors have come up with an option that will give you all of the amenities that a spa offers and they’ve made it so the tub is heated by solar power, not by a plug in the wall!

The first thing to consider when you’re looking into buying a solar-heated spa is that it will need to be outdoors. If your idea of the perfect setting is in a room of your home, there is likely to be an absence of sunlight that you will obviously need to heat your tub. That said; the other factor is the area where you live. If you reside in a place that sees little sun then the solar-heated spa is not for you!

Let’s say you are in an area that will adequately accommodate the solar-heated spa and you are happy with the idea of having it outside the house, what next? Do you fill the spa up and wait for the sun to heat it up? What about when the sun goes down, what happens to the heat that has accumulated during the day?

Fortunately, instead of having to wait for the sun to come out in order to benefit from the hot water, there is now solar heat equipment that will allow you to store the heat that’s solar generated and use it later when it’s time to jump into the spa. It may appear to be expensive initially as this type of apparatus isn’t cheap, but the pay back is that by having the solar heated unit; you will never have to plug it in and further drain those resources. In the end, the cost saving process that a solar heated spa gives, far outweighs the huge expense of using electrical energy or propane gas.

Solar heated spas, like their electric and propane powered counterparts, will always profit from the use of a safety cover that’s specifically designed to contain the heat produced, rather than having to waste time and money waiting for the water to heat up.

If you are considering an eco-friendly option for a hot tub, the solar heated spa is where you want to look. Please remember the previous points though in that it will need to be outside and that indoors is not an option; you live in a region that is sunny enough to adequately heat up the spa and that you can afford the initial cost of the solar heater. If you can tick all these boxes then by all means, go solar. Know that you’ll be able to reap the benefits of the use of a hot tub and you will be doing your bit to save the environment.

Your Choice Of Table Lamps Can Truly Make Or Break The Mood In Any Room If You Know How!

The table lamps lighting effect on a roomroom and space can be ratherreally dramatic. I am sure you have seen rooms that were poorly lit to the point where you would certainly find it uncomfortable to have to read the newspaper. And then of course on the other hand you have seen rooms where it would be far too bright to watch a projection movie on your home theater system. And finally you likely have been in rooms where the sun coming through a window made it nearly imposable to watch TV with its rays right on the screen.

These are all just effects light and lighting can have on our experience in a single space. Well, your table lamps lighting arrangement can have serious effects on how well you can see in your space, how well you can read, how well you can watch TV and especially theater and of course it can cast shadows and create or enlarge dead lighting spots. A dead lighting spot is simply where it appears that even though your room seems brightly lit it has a spot where virtually no light gets to. This is called a dead spot in the professional lighting industry.

You need to understand correct positioning to take advantage of both the special characteristics of your room and all the objects in it, not just the furniture. I saw a friend of mine pay good money to a interior designer. Only to have one of his main pieces in the room a very large and expensive painting that was also as luck would have it quite deep in the frame department have a huge shadow cast by it because the interior designer knew very little about proper lighting as it would turn out.

The main method is t start out with your lamps about 8 to 10 feet apart in each and every direction. Then start walking around in that room or space looking for potential problems and or issues. Look for big shadows being cast or dead spots being created as you learned about up above. then look at the challenge you have found analyze it using a very small lamp that you can easily maneuver into places to see how to eliminate those shadows or dead spots. Once you have it then figured out then simply adjust your table lamps lighting arrangement until it then is in the same position that your small portable lamp was in.

We all know that our mood can be dramatically affected by light. Or else why would it be that everyone is always more happy and in a better mood when the sun is shining? Also experiment with several of these new natural light bulbs that give off full spectrum light. This too can help make the difference between a room of zoom and a room of gloom.

Interesting House Plans

One of the things that I like about living in San Francisco is the unique house plans. In a lot of areas in this country, people use their money to build mega-mansions. Rather than going for graceful, interesting houses that express something, they simply try to build the biggest, most expensive thing that they can to show off their wealth. For me, this isn’t the way to do it. The great thing about having some money is being able to express yourself in your living situation. A unique custom house plan can do this.

On the street that I live on, there are many different unique house plans to look at. You might see an Art Deco house right next to a traditional Tudor and beyond that, a house that looks sort of like an old-style barnyard except larger. Although I don’t like all of these unique house plans, (some of them are downright ugly) I do admire their willingness to take risks. And with risks, there are occasionally great acts of beauty.

You can see most of the unique house plans up in the hills. There are houses there that are built reflecting the workings of the great architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The designs of the houses are awesome and fit well with the surroundings. The houses have walkways, beautiful gardens, large windows, and other styles that make the houses unique.

Coming up with your own unique house plan is kind of difficult as I figured out myself. There are plenty of unique designs, but finding the perfect one can be a painstaking process. In my case, I had to look at well over a hundred different designs before I found the perfect unique house plan.

It actually was one of the plans I had initially considered, but when I looked at it in more detail it was perfect. It was spacious, interesting, and well-designed for entertaining in such a favorable climate. There is plenty of outdoor space surrounded by awnings which protect it from the wind. Since the weather is so mild there, this meant that I had the ability to entertain outside year-round. This is a great luxury for someone who enjoys inviting a lot of guests over to their house. I certainly have taken advantage of it since then.

Luxury Vacation Rentals In The Mountains

Many people feel that no holiday is complete without the picturesque background of snow falling in the high country. Evidenced by the huge demand and low supply of resort home rentals the high country have long ago become the place to be during that all important holiday season. Many have childhood experiences of the family packing up to make the journey to the resorts or maybe you’ve just decided it will be cool to do something new this year. In any case the mountains offer a lot of holiday spirit for the single or family group. Take for instance Beaver Creek, Colorado. After a day with your family on the slopes you can ski down into the village, sip a cup of hot chocolate by the Hyatt’s outdoor fire pit and then enjoy your childrens’ delight at accepting an award winning chocolate chip cookie from a troop of performers dressed as holiday characters. What child wouldn’t love a cookie from Rudolf followed by a nice evening watching cartoons in your Beaver Creek luxury home rental.

For those who seek more mature entertainment Vail Colorado offers a range of entertainment from raunchy après ski shows to mature piano bars or just enjoy the New Years Eve fireworks. Vail Village not only offers a great vantage point to the display but nightclubs line the street to offer great music and interesting people. Or join the huge crowd to watch the torchlight ski down into Gold Peak. With over 100 skiers carrying illuminated torches it’s a sight not to be missed. The local radio station does a musical simulcast to enhance your experience.

Regardless of the experience you are seeking to frame your holiday memories, enjoying the comforts of a private home rental is the best way to complement your visit to the mountains. Impersonal hotel rooms are no place to enjoy the warmth of the holiday season.  Luxury vacation accommodations offer all the comforts of home and then some. Luxury amenities might include fireplace, hot tub, swimming pool, concierge, and other niceties that will take your experience to the next level. If you find the upscale pricing of the New Year’s season intimidating, try moving your dates a little earlier. Early Dec sometimes even Christmas can be more economical that the more popular New Years dates. Flexibility usually translates into savings so if your dates aren’t written in stone you can often get a great deal. Contact a reputable property manager to see what’s available and don’t be afraid to ask for the best deal they can offer. You may be shocked by how much you can save on your holiday vacation homes just by asking.

In summary while holiday accommodations may not be the cheapest option for visiting the mountains, because you’ll always get a better deal in the off season, you won’t beat the holidays for sheer entertainment value. When it comes to holidays there is no better place than the mountains.
